St Columba’s Hospice Education Centre opened in 2012 and offers a wide range of educational opportunities, from study days and short courses to more formal programmes at degree and masters level.

Resilience Based Clinical Supervision

We are delighted to work in partnership with the Foundation of Nursing Studies (FoNS) and Hospice UK to deliver this training to teams within St Columba’s Hospice Care and the wider Palliative Care Community throughout the UK.

Project ECHO

The ECHO model supports health and social care workers in all community settings, including education and support to care homes and homeless services. Along with professionals from Marie Curie Hospice, St Columba's collaborates with a wide range of community and acute NHS professionals.

Caring Connections

In 2018, St Columba’s hosted Nurse Manju BK for two weeks. This was a wonderful opportunity for a two-way exchange of learning and ideas. Since then, Manju has gone on to gain a distinction in her fellowship in palliative nursing and taken up a key role in leading the development of palliative care at Green Pastures Hospital in Pokhara, Nepal.
