Join us for the celebratory closing event for "Jacket for a Journey".
Following two all-day drop-in motorbike patch-making workshops delivered at St Columba's Hospice Care, this celebratory evening will bring the project to a close. During the workshops, participants have collaborated in the gradual decoration of vintage leather jackets using a range of textile fabrication materials to create patches reflective of ideas surrounding hospice care, loss, and death or simply to engage with the creative process within the Hospice environment.
Members of The Leithal Weapons, a local motorbike group will attend the workshops and celebratory evening, showcasing the completed patch filled jackets on a group ride which departs from St Columba’s, marking the project's close.
This event is part of the Healing Arts Scotland Festival. Live music will be provided by Katey Warren and Jenny Lee. Coffee and tea will be available.
This is a free event, but registration is required.
