Job Title: HR Administrator

Tenure: Permanent

Hours: 22.5 hours per week (hours can be worked over 3 – 5 days negotiable). Some home working possible

We are looking for an exceptional individual with an open, collaborative style and a practical, can-do approach to join our HR team. As an HR Administrator, you'll contribute to the delivery of a professional HR service within St Columba's, acting as a first point of contact for HR enquiries, internally and externally. You'll provide an efficient and effective administrative support across the HR function and this will include recruitment, induction, training, preparation of documentation, contracts, payroll data etc, update & maintenance of HR systems data, wellbeing, culture and staff development activities. You'll be involved with all aspects of the employee lifecycle from recruitment to departure, taking a lead on ensuring that all administrative aspects of recruitment, onboarding, inductions, probations, performance management and exit interviews are dealt with in a timely manner. You will also assist in various ad-hoc projects such as researching wellbeing practices and championing an inclusive and diverse working environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Being a first point of contact, providing support for all general HR enquiries by telephone and email in a timely and accurate manner
  • Effectively managing HR email inboxes and ensuring all tasks are completed
  • Updating and maintaining quality data and activity updates in various databases/systems
  • Identifying any potential issues and problems and escalating as they arise
  • Administration of Pre-Employment Screening
  • Other general HR Administration tasks

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Administration experience working in an office or customer service environment or knowledge / interest in HR
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Good communication skills (email articulation and telephone manner)

This is an HR role, and HR experience would be great, however we will also consider candidates with excellent administrative background/skills from any office based setting.
