Making an educational visit

Visiting us offers a valuable experience for students at primary & secondary school levels, students undertaking professional education, and health and social care professionals.

Who can visit?

We’re delighted to welcome medical and health care professionals, students and international groups. The learning opportunities we can offer you and length of your visit will depend on the individual needs of your group, so please complete an application form and we’ll do all we can to accommodate your request.

What do you get out of a visit?

Depending on learning objectives and length of placement, you can:

Observe ward rounds
Manage palliative patients
Attend multi-disciplinary team meetings
Visit patients in the community
Meet other members of the team to understand their roles

Organise a visit

If an educational visit to witness our work first-hand would be of benefit to you or your students, please download and complete the application and submit it to education@stcolumbashospice.org.uk. We aim to respond to your application within 28 days.
