How your regular gifts can make a big difference

This year our Summer Appeal focused on the Regular Gifts and donations and helped raise a phenomenal £24,000.

As a vital source of income for St Columba's Hospice Care, regular donations can make an incredible difference by allowing us to provide the very best care to everyone in our community who needs it. They also allow us to adapt our services to the needs of our community.

Mandy Murray, Head of Clinical Services, commented: "Hospice Care is about our people and our comunnity, and not just about our Hospice Building".

Your generous gifts have allowed us to fund several changes to our services in recent years. Our new Hospice at Home and Virtual Ward teams provide even more personalised care and support to patients in their homes, allowing them to remain as independent as possible for as long as possible.

During the first 12 months of our Virtual Ward Service, we assisted 365 patients to stay in their own home whilst receieving treatment.

We rely on the kindness and generosity of our regular givers to fund a large part of this cost. Every gift, no matter how big and small, directly helps us provide much needded care for our families across Edinburgh and the Lothians.
