Patient Transport Driver / Team Lead Hospice Band 3
Fixed Term 2 Years
Starting salary £23,336 WTE (following 12 month review, salary may rise to £24,311 WTE per annum subject to satisfactory performance) pro-rata per annum + Pension
Full Time – 37.5 hours, over five days, Monday to Friday
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our friendly, hard-working access team. The role will play an important role delivering a high standard transport service to individual patients, visitors and staff within the Hospice. You will be involved in the transfer of patients between the Hospice, local Hospitals, and patient homes and occasionally for trips to events. In addition, this role the leadership, recruiting, training and supporting of a team of volunteers on daily basis.
Previous experience as a transport driver, the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. Good communication skills and time keeping are also essential for the role.

STARTING SALARY: The starting salary for all appointments (irrespective of experience or current salary) is 'Step 1' of the Hospice salary scale
PAY PROGRESSION: Salary will be reviewed following 12 months service in the role and, subject to satisfactory performance in the role and at the discretion of the Hospice, salary may rise to 'Step 2'.
