Join our team of superhumans – volunteer!
Volunteers work front-of-house in our Hospice and shops, providing a warm welcome to visitors, serving teas, coffees and meals, providing beautiful flowers and looking after you in our shops.
Some of our volunteers have kindly shared their stories with us, which you can read by clicking on the link below.Meet some of our volunteers
Volunteers work as part of our clinical teams on our wards. They also provide support to patients in the community, as part of our counselling and bereavement support teams.
Elaine, pictured, has been driving our patients to and from the hospice, providing safe transport and a listening ear for over 7 years.
She told us, "It's hugely rewarding as I’m very much a people person and enjoy the face-to-face contact and the great chat."
Experienced volunteer therapists have joined our complementary therapy service to deliver a range of therapies for our patients and their carers.
We have 10 Therapets who bring our patients and families great joy and comfort. There are 9 gorgeous dogs, one very lovely cat and, of course, their 10 fabulous humans too!More about our complementary therapy service
Our volunteers make a huge difference!

There are wonderful people - Who give from their hearts in thoughtful and unselfish ways - So willing to share, help out, or be there - No matter how busy their days.
Our staff really appreciate the support of our volunteers. One of our colleagues wrote this poem to thank them and we shared it with our volunteers when we came together for our annual Volunteer Week tea party celebration.
