You, Now: Intro
Through creative writing, this project offers opportunities to re-engage with our senses, our memories and our experiences and to bring these to the fore, through words, poems, stories and other imaginative uses of language.
This project is facilitated by writer Meaghan Delahunt and is open to hospice patients, their families and friends as well as everyone else who is part of St Columba’s community.
A series of six short videos, approximately 5 minutes each, will be released on a weekly basis between July and August 2020:
These videos will act as prompts for your creativity. We encourage you to engage as you wish in whatever form that takes. This might be single words, short poems, stories, memoir pieces or… See wherever it takes you!
Writing can be a very personal and private process. It can also be a public form of communication provoking ideas and responses from others. If you would like to share examples of your writing, please feel free to email them to the Arts team: email@example.com
At the end of this creative writing project we would like to bring together people’s different examples and share them with others via the Hospice website and other media. Your contribution can be anonymous if you wish.
Following the six short videos, we will offer two live online creative writing workshops on the following dates:
31st August (Monday) – 2.00-3.00pm
2nd September (Wednesday) 2.00-3.00pm
Participation is free and open to all, but in-advance registration is needed. To register, please email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
This project is kindly supported by the Scottish Book Trust.
